I’ve seen banana leaf print all over the place this summer and I’ve admired it from afar, until I found these jeans. The print is large and condensed enough for me so that it’s not too obvious what it is. Patterns can be a little intimidating so I prefer wearing these pants with neutral tops and accessories so my outfit isn’t overwhelming. Turns out banana leaf print isn’t that scary after all.
At the end of summer I always get nostalgic because the time seems to fly by quicker and quicker every year. I never seem to have enough time to visit with friends and family as long as I want to, or accomplish all of my warm weather plans. However, I am especially looking forward to the beginning of next summer when my cousin will turn this beautiful boardwalk into an aisle when she gets married on the beach here in Maine. There will be dancing, and laughter, good food and drink, plenty of loved ones, and some seriously beautiful clothing! Until next time summer, it’s always a pleasure.
Happy Labor Day!
I spent the long weekend in Maine at my aunt’s vacation house in Ocean Park with family. We spent time on the beach, got some pier fries, strolled along the Cliff Walk, and ate homemade chocolates from Dickinson’s Candy. We also celebrated a couple of birthdays this weekend. My youngest brother Anthony turned 21 and my cousin Stevie turned 30. Happy Birthday guys! Also, the Duchess spent all of her time playing with her golden retriever cousin, Tucker. All in all, it was a great weekend.
I’ve been in Chicago on business since Wednesday morning, and I’m very excited to be coming home to the Duchess tonight! This trip has been very informative, yet still managed to be more fun than usual. I love Chicago and wanted to spend some time here before my all day meetings started, so I took an early flight on Wednesday. I had a delicious lunch on the rooftop garden of Nomi, got some quality window shopping done on the Magnificent Mile, and checked out a couple of exhibits at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The most notable exhibit that I viewed was Vi-a`-vis by the artist Jimmy Robert, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I would recommend it highly if you’re going to be in town anytime soon.
Well, Chicago, it’s been a pleasure as always, but my heart is in Boston!
I love wearing head to toe white in the summer time. Nothing shows off sun kissed skin better! My bright orange bag really pops too! If you’re anything like me though, an all white ensemble can be dangerous. I wasn’t taking any chances, so I changed before I sat down to my spaghetti and meatball dinner.
I’m currently headed down to Virginia for a friends wedding with Max and my family. I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I’ll be posting my wedding attire pictures next week!
