Dancing Shoes

Dancing Shoes (1 of 6)

Lord & Taylor Blouse, J. Crew Trousers, Bass Brogues, Banana Republic Earrings, Vintage Necklace

My mom surprised me with these patent leather brogues the last time I went home, and I think they’re amazing!  They remind me of my tap shoes from when I was younger, so, naturally, I’ve been doing a little more dancing than usual.  I’m not sure if Duchess enjoys it, but she’s certainly intrigued.  And every dance number requires some sequins, hence the blouse.

Winter Weekend Uniform

Winter Weekend Uniform (4 of 5)

Zara Sweater, GAP Long Sleeve T, Banana Republic Cords and Earrings, H&M Sunglasses, American Eagle Snood, Nike x Liberty London Sneakers, Dollar Stores Gloves

This has been my outfit of choice as of late.  A fun sweater, pants, comfortable shoes, and lots of layers is all I need these days.  A gray and pastel color palette has been the flavor of the week as well.  It feels refreshing compared to all of the black I’ve been wearing, and has me looking forward to Spring!  Stay warm!

Notorious

Urban Outfitters Sweatshirt, Saks Off Fifth Jeans, Shoedazzle Boots, Random Sunglasses, Charles Hubert Watch, Vintage Bangle, Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market Bracelet

Did I need a sweatshirt with Biggie’s face on it?  No.  Does it make me happy?  Yes!  And wearing clothes that make you happy is what’s up.  If it makes you feel good, wear it.  Fashion is all about fun and taking risks, so go for it.  Next time I take Biggie out for a spin though, I think I’m going to try to wear him with something more girly, like a pink mini skirt.  Let the search commence!

Black Again

Black Again (1 of 7)

Saks Off Fifth Dress, Vintage Fur Hat, Lord & Taylor Tights, Aldo Heels, Asos Rings

Another day, another black outfit.  What can I say, I’m having a moment.  This sweater dress has a subtle ruffle detail that’s hard to see in the pictures, but it takes it to a level above basic.  This is my cold weather LBD, and the only thing that I would like to change about it is the opportunity to wear it more!  The fur hat is not a must with this dress, but it’s certainly preferred!

Gold Shouldered

French Connection Sweater, J. Crew Pants, Naturalizer Heels, H&M Sunglasses and Earrings, Vintage Bangle

As much as I love wearing color, sometimes head to toe black is very classic and Audrey Hepburn.  Some small details like tortoise shell glasses, dangly earrings, gold sequined shoulders, bright lip gloss, and menswear inspired heels add some character and keep this look from being boring.  Let’s face it, sequins make everything better.

Standout Camo

Can You See Me- (6 of 6)

Zara Sweater, H&M Skirt, Lord & Taylor Booties, Gifted Old Navy Earrings, Orli Purse

This camo sweater is a recent favorite of mine, but I think it might be broken…  I’m not blending in to any of my surroundings!  But, in all seriousness, I prefer it that way.  I wore it with a feminine scalloped skirt and gray ankle boots, in a departure from wearing it with jeans, for a girly, playful look.

Have a great weekend and maybe wear some camo!
